Kansas City Repertory Theatre continues its 2019/20 season with FUN HOME. Fun Home is the winner of five 2015 Tony Awards, including Best Musical. Inspired by Alison Bechdel's best-selling graphic novel, this relatable and moving story has Alison reliving her upbringing with her brilliant and volatile father-a man whose own secrets defined the family-while discovering her sexuality. As BroadwayWorld sadly reported last week, legendary Broadway director and producer Hal Prince passed away at 91 years of age after a brief illness, in Reykjavik, Iceland.

What's the most swankified place in town Nov. 20 through Dec. 1, 2019? That would be the Times-Union Center because the national tour of Wicked is back in the sunshine state!

Well before that founding father refused to throw away his shot, even before those Mormons made us giggle with their irreverence, the hot ticket in town was "Wicked". Well, Stephen Schwartz and Winnie Holzman's witches have returned to the Emerald City and the bloom is still quite firmly attached to that bright pink rose in Glinda's hair.

Miami is thrilled to welcome one of our own Nick Duckart performing in the national tour of COME FROM AWAY, a Broadway musical about the true story of the small town that welcomed the world after 9/11 when the world stopped. On 9/12, their stories moved us all. COME FROM AWAY will make its Miami debut at the Center's Ziff Ballet Opera House for a limited engagement on June 18 - 23, 2019. Nick Duckart was born and raised in Hialeah, FL, attended Hialeah High School, New World School of the Arts and the University of Florida and still has family in the area. Nick reminisces as we talk about his humble beginnings in Hialeah that shaped him into who he is today.

Daniel Breaker (Hamilton), Arielle Jacobs (Aladdin) and Joanna A. Jones (Hamilton) will be the featured vocalists in the March 10th installment of 'Russ Kaplan's Broadway Jazz Session,' the popular series which presents In Transit composer Kaplan's innovative jazz interpretations of current Broadway favorites.

The Broadway League is gearing up for Viva Broadway, celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month, today in Duffy Square (W 46th St. & Broadway). The free outdoor celebration will be hosted by singer, actress and National Viva Broadway Ambassador Bianca Marroquin.
