The Weathervane Theatre, a professional, award-winning, equity theatre in Whitefield, NH, welcomes actor, singer, and baker Alison Mahoney to its 54th season professional acting company She replaces Leigh Barrett. Mahoney replaces Barrett as Martha in Irving Berlin's White Christmas and as the title role in The Drowsy Chaperone.

Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston opens its 51st summer season with Mame from June 13-23, 2019 starring IRNE and Norton Award winner Leigh Barrett as "Auntie Mame, " an irrepressible 1920's socialite whose New York life is changed forever when her orphaned nephew comes to live with her. Additional featured cast members include Maureen Keiller as 'Vera Charles,' Katie O'Reilly as 'Agnes Gooch', and Mark Linehan as 'Beauregard Burnside'. Directed and Choreographed by Eileen Grace, Music Director Dan Rodriguez, Produced by Robert J. Eagle.

The Independent Reviewers of New England (IRNE) today announced the nominees for the 23rd Annual IRNE Awards, which honor the best of the previous year's actors, directors, choreographers, designers and companies across the full spectrum of large, mid-size and fringe theater companies. Moulin Rouge!, a new musical produced by Global Creatures, and An American in Paris, produced by the Ogunquit Playhouse, led with 12 and 11 nominations, respectively, in the Large Stage Musical Category. The Huntington Theatre led all companies with 31 nominations across seven productions, including 11 for Man in the Ring, the story of six-time world champion prizefighter Emile Griffith.

On Sunday, December 9th, Bill Hanney's North Shore Music Theatre (NSMT) honored two cast members, David Coffee (Ebenezer Scrooge) and Cheryl McMahon (Mrs. Dilber), both celebrating their 25th appearance in the holiday show, A CHRISTMAS CAROL playing thru Sunday, December 23, 2018.

Bill Hanney's North Shore Music Theatre (NSMT) will once again present the area's most beloved production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL sponsored by MarketStreet Lynnfield. This award-winning, original musical adaptation was created solely for North Shore Music Theatre and cannot be seen anywhere else. Leigh Barrett headlines as Reno Sweeney, and multiple IRNE Award-winners Elaine Grace and Dan Rodriguez direct/choreograph and music direct/conduct, respectively. The fabulous singing and dancing keep this ship afloat for its transatlantic journey.

The multiple Tony Award-winning musical will run for 8 performances at the Robinson Theatre, 617 Lexington St., Waltham, MA. Anything Goes is a tap-happy musical comedy following the antics of a nightclub singer, a Public Enemy, a love triangle, stowaways, and more aboard a luxury ocean liner travelling from New York to London! Anything Goes will feature a roster of regional talent starring 2018 Elliot Norton Award Winner Leigh Barrett as "Reno Sweeney," IRNE Award winner Jared Troilo as "Billy Crocker," J.T. The Boston Theater Critics Association (BTCA) celebrated more than two dozen outstanding actors, directors, designers, and ensembles at The 36th Annual Elliot Norton Awards ceremony at the Huntington Avenue Theatre last night. The coveted Elliot Norton Prize for Sustained Excellence was presented to Leigh Barrett, Robert J. Eagle received a Special Citation in honor of his 50 years at Reagle Music Theatre, and the Guest of Honor Award went to internet sensation Randy Rainbow.

Awards were presented to more than two dozen outstanding actors, directors, designers, and ensembles last night, May 21, by The BostonTheater CriticsAssociation (BTCA), at The 36th Annual Elliot Norton Awards ceremony, held at the Huntington Avenue Theatre.
