Music Theater Works has announced the updates to its current production season. The 2021 season is to be performed at its new home at the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts in Skokie, 9501 Skokie Blvd.

Following the huge success of the run in August at the Minack Open Air Theatre, the acclaimed 40th anniversary production of Willy Russell's EDUCATING RITA is coming back from Wednesday 28 October.

Network makes its Austrian premiere at Salzburger Landestheater, beginning September 25, 2020.

Theatre Artist Fund today announces that thanks to significant investment from Arts Council England, the fund is now open for its next round of applications. The Arts Council has contributed £1 million to the Theatre Artist Fund, following on from the £4 million distributed to benevolent funds earlier in the year as part of its Covid-19 Emergency Response Package.

BroadwayHD has announced its lineup for April.

Billy Elliot made a huge splash in London in 2005 before it crossed the Atlantic. The Broadway production opened at the Imperial Theatre on November 13, 2008, where it remained for over three years and 1312 performances. The show made Tony winners of its three pint-sized leading men (David Álvarez, Trent Kowalik and Kiril Kulish) and picked up nine other Tonys that season. The production also notabley starred Haydn Gwynne, Gregory Jbara and a young, future Tony-winner, Santino Fontana.

Kentucky Shakespeare, the Official Shakespeare Festival of the Commonwealth, announces the 60th anniversary season of the free Kentucky Shakespeare Festival. The extended 11-week, 7-production, 64-performance season runs May 27-August 9, 2020, at the C. Douglas Ramey Amphitheater in Old Louisville's Central Park.

The Central New York Playhouse is now entertaining audiences with the delightful romantic comedy Shakespeare in Love. The play by Lee Hall is adapted from the popular 1998 film of the same name. Following a hugely successful workshop in 2019, producers Playful Productions, Stage Play and Trim the Wind have announced that Get Up, Stand Up! The Bob Marley Story, the definitive new musical featuring Bob Marley's iconic hits played live on stage, will begin previews in London at the newly refurbished Lyric Theatre on Saturday 6th February 2021.  Brought to the stage by a multi award-winning team, Lee Hall's (Billy Elliot The Musical, Network) book takes direct inspiration from Marley's visionary lyrics to tell his extraordinary personal story as an artist, the production will be directed by Dominic Cooke (Follies, Clybourne Park) and star Arinzé Kene (Misty, Girl from the North Country).

During the 2020 Oscars, James Corden and Rebel Wilson, both stars of the recent CATS, come out on stage to talk about the importance of Visual Effects. The two actors poked fun at the film adaptation, while dressed in cat suits!

The Golden Raspberry Awards (also known in short terms as Razzies and Razzie Awards) is a parody award show honoring the worst of cinematic under-achievements. This year's nominations have been announced, and the cast of the Cats film has made the list in many categories.

If you live in the Philippines, you'll now have the chance to see Universal Pictures' film adaptation of the famous stage musical Cats, directed by Tom Hooper (The King's Speech, Les Miserables). The movie arrives in Philippine cinemas on 8 January 2020.
