The show is titled a?oeSweet Dreams and Roses,a?? with a repertoire of mainly their own compositions, including some they wrote as a team.

The Fred Ebb Foundation (Mitchell S. Bernard, Trustee) in association with the Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) will present the fifteenth annual Fred Ebb Award for aspiring musical theatre songwriters to Angela Sclafani & Benjamin Velez. The award, named in honor of the late award-winning lyricist Fred Ebb, will be presented by Kate Baldwin on Monday, December 2nd from 6-8pm at a by-invitation-only ceremony in the Penthouse Lounge of The American Airlines Theater.

Austin Pendleton and Barbara Bleier return to Pangea on May 7, 14 and 21, at 7 PM, with How About Love?, a brand new show about everything you always wanted to know about falling in (and out of) love, but were afraid to ask! Bleier and Pendleton, along with Barbara Maier Gustern and Paul Greenwood, will sing love songs (solos, duets, trios and quartets) by such composers as Richard Rodgers, Rodgers and Hart, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Kurt Weil, Jonathan Larson, Stephen Sondheim, Peter Larson, George and Ira Gershwin, Francesca Blumenthal and Tom Toce, among others. Paul Greenwood is the Musical Director, and Barbara Maier Gustern directs.

Sarah Hammond, Shaina Taub, and Charlie Sohne Receive Kleban Prize For Musical Theatre

The Kleban Foundation has announced the recipients of the 29th Annual Kleban Prize for Musical Theatre. The judges declared a tie in the most promising musical theatre lyricist category between Sarah Hammond and Shaina Taub. The Kleban Prize for the most promising musical theatre librettist has been awarded to Charlie Sohne. The 2019 prizes will be presented on Monday, February 4, 2018, in a private ceremony (by invitation only) hosted by ASCAP and BMI at ASCAP.
