There are few singer-songwriters who have it all - brilliant lyrics, superb melodies and harmonies, killer performance chops, sophistication, humor, theatricality, insight into the human condition and an abundance of heart. Luckily for us, two of them happen to be longtime pals who have even written songs together. But they have never shared the stage for an evening of story and song...until now!
Featuring selections from their many tunes for film, theatre, cabaret and pop, "Sweet Dreams & Roses" is a rare chance to hear these gems played and sung by the artists who birthed them. John Bucchino's genius as a songwriter is only rivaled by his legendary piano playing (he accompanied singer/songwriter Holly Near for years) and Amanda McBroom's songwriting is rivaled only by her rich vocal stylings and superb acting abilities (which earned her a Golden Globe award).
What better way to celebrate these two finally performing together than to see them in an intimate, classy, acoustic venue where they can get up-close and personal?!
