Celebration Theatre Co. continues its 2022 Season with the Orlando premiere of The SpongeBob Musical, running May 6 - 15 in the Alexis and Jim Pugh Theatre at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.

Orlando Sings is one of Central Florida’s newest professional arts organizations and has already had an exciting and successful first season.  Led by Artistic and Executive Director Dr. Andrew Minear, Orlando Sings serves as an umbrella organization for a family of singing groups including two professional ensembles, the Orlando Sings Symphonic Chorus and the Solaria Singers. This young organization has already had a great start to its first season with full and sold-out houses for each of the three concerts they have presented as well as a successful, sold-out gala fundraiser.

Sunnyside Records has announced the March 25, 2022 release of The Normyn Suites by the Michael Leonhart Orchestra. The Normyn Suites is both a requiem and celebration, inspired by the life and death of the bandleader's 15-year-old dog, a female mini dachshund named Normyn.

Shake the Roots was produced by multi-Blues Music Award nominee Kid Andersen and Gino Matteo, with all songs written by Gino Matteo & Jade Bennett. The disc was recorded, mixed and mastered at Greaseland Studio in San Jose, California.

Central Florida Community Arts announces their spring concert season. Conceived as a “Travel Passport” the concerts aim to take patrons on a visual and musical journey.  

Following a successful opening week of Disney's Frozen, the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts raised $24k in collaboration with private donors and sponsors to provide 675 regional students the opportunity to experience a night of Broadway with Frozen through the arts center's Community Giveback program from March 1-5.

Opera Orlando announces student RUSH tickets for the Saturday performances of The Secret River this weekend at the Alexis & Jim Pugh Theater at Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.

A diverse array of musicians and entertainers are set to perform in Alexis & Jim Pugh Theater, Walt Disney Theater and Steinmetz Hall at the Dr. Phillips Center in 2022 including ABBA The Concert: A Tribute to ABBA, Grammy Award-winners Chris Botti and Melissa Etheridge, popular comedian and television star Fortune Feimster and introducing the first annual D.T.O Jazz Fest.

Audiences can get their tickets this Friday, November 26, for Verdi's masterpiece Rigoletto, an original take on this operatic standard that will make history as the first opera presented in Dr. Phillips Center's new acoustic hall. Following a 19-year journey, the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts today announced the biggest names in music, dance and comedy will share the stage for the celebration of the arts center's highly anticipated completion with the debut of Steinmetz Hall, an acoustically perfect concert hall in January 2022, and Judson's, a cabaret-style space in May 2022. 

Opera Orlando's “On the MainStage” series continues this December with an original chamber opera adaptation of The Secret River, based on the book of the same name by Pulitzer Prize-winning author and Central Florida resident, Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings.

Effective Friday, Oct. 1 for all indoor shows and events, face coverings are required for guests—as well as documentation showing a negative COVID-19 test. Instead of a negative test result, guests can provide documentation showing their full vaccination status.

As Opera Orlando prepares for its sixth full season and its move into Steinmetz Hall, the Company has expanded and reorganized its staff and infrastructure to continue its growth as an organization.
