Wharton Center has officially announced their 2024-2025 Broadway series! It kicks off with Les Misérables, followed by Shucked, MJ, Life of Pi and Chicago. Add-on shows include Hamilton and The Book of Mormon.

First opening in 2022, Anupama Chandrasekhar's (When the Crows Visit) debut play for The National Theatre, The Father and The Assassin . One of India’s most prominent and taboo-busting playwrights, her historical epic returns to the Olivier stage, now with Olivier winner Hiran Abeysekera (Life Of Pi) taking over as the titular assassin.

The National Theatre has released images for Anupama Chandrasekhar’s critically acclaimed The Father and the Assassin, directed by the Kiln Theatre’s Artistic-Director, Indhu Rubasingham. 

Lolita Chakrabarti’s Olivier Award-winning stage adaption of Yann Martel’s best-selling novel Life of Pi, will play an extended run at the celebrated Chichester Festival Theatre this autumn where it plays from Thursday 16 November – Saturday 2 December 2023. 

The National Theatre has announced the full cast for Anupama Chandrasekhar’s critically acclaimed The Father and the Assassin, directed by the Kiln Theatre’s Artistic-Director, Indhu Rubasingham.  This gripping new play by one of India’s most exciting playwrights, returns to the Olivier Theatre from 8 September. 

While Life of Pi enters its final weeks of performances on Broadway, the cast is getting ready to go through some of their pre-show rituals for the final time. Michael Kushner captured them in action as a part of “The Dressing Room Project”, showcasing  their unconventional warmups, as well as some tender moments between the cast before the curtain goes up. Lolita Chakrabarti’s LIFE OF PI will play its final Broadway performance on Sunday, July 23, 2023 at Broadway’s Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre.

The Theatre World Awards were presented Monday night, June 5.  Julie Benko received the 14th Annual Dorothy Loudon Award for Excellence in the Theater, and 2023 TWA Special Award Honorees, Marilyn Caserta for Outstanding Swing and Dale Badway for Outstanding Contribution to the Theatre World.  Check out photos here!

 Tony, Grammy, and Emmy-winner André De Shields visited the cast of the five-time Tony nominated production of LIFE OF PI at the Schoenfeld Theatre on Monday, May 29. De Shields greeted the cast backstage, led by Uma Paranjpe as Pi.
