While Egge has long written insightfully about relationships, the stressful, ominous feelings caused by the pandemic and social unrest led her to take a “let’s get to the truth — let’s do that right now” attitude with her songwriting.

Los Angeles Philharmonic today announced the LA Phil’s 2021/22 season at Walt Disney Concert Hall, heralding the long-awaited resumption of live concerts at the iconic venue following a 19-month closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In celebration of its 127th birthday, Massey Hall has announced that after a three-year closure for an extensive revitalization, it will reopen its iconic red doors and welcome back music fans in November 2021.

The ten original songs on the LP were co-produced by friend and frequent collaborator, engineer and producer, Kevin Salem (Rachel Yamagata, Lenka, Emmylou Harris), and features performances by Yuka Tadano on bass, drummer Cody Rahn and lush string arrangements by Oliver Kraus (Sia, Adele, Florence and the Machine.)

The album cover offers a painting of the road the artist and her family retreated to during the beginning of the pandemic (in Bristol County, Massachusetts). 

Canal Shores kicks off on August 5th with Emmylou Harris and Los Lobos, followed by Patti Smith and her band on the 6th, Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals on the 7th and closing out on August 8th with CAAMP.

Broadway Barks will once again stream its annual animal adoption event on Sunday, May 23rd at 7:00 p.m. EDT. The streamed event, hosted by co-founder Bernadette Peters will feature adoptable animals from shelters and presented by celebrities Across America.

Following the success of last year’s Bobbie’s Summer and Fall Series, Berkshire Theatre Group has announced the Colonial Concert Series, introducing 2 shows each Saturday from May 1 through June 12.
