This divine revival of the iconic movie follows nightclub singer Deloris van Cartier (Landi Oshinowo), whose life takes an unlikely turn after she witnesses a mobster murder. Seeking refuge in a holy convent, she poses as a nun revamping the sisters' struggling choir... despite protests from the austere Mother Superior (Coronation Street's Sue Cleaver). 

The producers of the award-winning production of SISTER ACT THE MUSICAL have announced that stage and screen talent Lee Mead will star as Eddie Souther from Monday 10 June 2024. Following her acclaimed return to London's West End, Ruth Jones will now also extend her run as Mother Superior until Saturday 3 August 2024.

Casey Donovan has been confirmed to lead the cast of the most heavenly of musicals, Sister Act, when it opens at the Capitol Theatre in Sydney from August and the Regent Theatre in Melbourne from November.

Sister Act, a feel-good musical comedy smash based on the hit 1992 film. Set in 1977, disco diva, Deloris Van Cartier, witnesses a murder, and is put in protective custody in the one place the cops are sure she won't be found: a convent!

Theatre Tuscaloosa has announced the return of Project Broadway, a summer intensive workshop for teens in which theatre professionals work side-by-side with participants to craft a unique Broadway-style musical that they write, rehearse, and perform in just one week -June 10-14- in the Sandra Hall Ray Fine Arts Center at Shelton State Community College.

Whoopi Goldberg is recruiting Sheryl Lee Ralph for Sister Act 3. After the Abbott Elementary starred appeared in Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit, Goldberg asked her if she'd be willing to come back for a third installment. Sister Act 2 is also celebrating its 30th anniversary this year and Ralph was invited back to The View for a reunion episode.
