The Obie Award-winning HERE has announced programming for Puppetopia, a presentation of HERE’s Dream Music Puppetry program. Puppetopia will run May 11–22, 2022 in the HERE Mainstage & Dorothy B. Williams Theatres (145 Sixth Avenue, New York, NY 10013).

Arts On Site (AOS) has announced their April performances, featuring dance, music, and film in the heart of the East Village at Studio 3R, 12 St. Mark's Place, NYC. For 20 years, the International Contemporary Ensemble has been a home for experimental new music, the artists who make it, and the community that supports it. In celebration of its 20th anniversary, the Ensemble announces a season of performances and programs highlighting the artists who have shaped the past two decades, many of them skyrocketing to individual prominence, and those who will shape the third.

Brooklyn Academy of Arts presents the North American premiere of Hamid Rahmanian's newest large-scale cinematic live performance, Song of the North. Created and directed by Rahmanian and produced by Melissa Hibbard, the show will employ shadow puppetry, animation, movement, an original music score by Ramin Torkian with lead vocals by Azam Ali, and voiced dialogue to interactively tell a tale adapted from the Book of Kings (Shahnameh).

DESPERATE MEASURES turns one of Shakespeare's “problem play’s” MEASURE OF MEASURE, into a madcap musical melodrama that will leave you laughing.  Gunslingers to Governors, Sheriff’s to Saloon Girls, and Priests to Postulants, this musical has a variety of characters up to zany hijinks for you to enjoy through February 12th at North Coast Repertory Theatre.
