On March 10, 2009 Osnes took over the role of Ensign Nellie Forbush from Tony Award nominee Kelli O'Hara, who went on maternity leave, in the Lincoln Center Theater Broadway revival of South Pacific. She then starred as Hope Harcourt, alongside Sutton Foster and Joel Grey, in the Broadway revival of Anything Goes. BWW Reviews: New Line Theatre's Brilliant BONNIE & CLYDEBWW Reviews: New Line Theatre's Brilliant BONNIE & CLYDE
by Chris Gibson - Oct 9, 2014

I'm constantly amazed at the way New Line Theatre is able to find so many hidden gems among the countless shows that play on or off Broadway, exposing all of their true beauty and charms in newly imagined stagings. You begin to wonder how critics could be so misguided in their initial assessments, but then you begin to realize that artistic director Scott Miller truly understands, and takes the time to dissect, the reasons behind a good show's commercial failure. And then he fixes it. If you want to see a prime example of this skill, and believe me - you do, then you have to check out New Line's current production of BONNIE & CLYDE. You'll be blown away by how engaging the story and characters are, and you'll be humming the score as you walk out the doors because it's just so incredibly and infectiously catchy. (more...)

BWW Reviews: Thought-Provoking Satire THE WHY Investigates Who's To Blame for Senseless School ShootingsBWW Reviews: Thought-Provoking Satire THE WHY Investigates Who's To Blame for Senseless School Shootings
by Shari Barrett - Sep 20, 2014

According to Blank Artistic Producer Noah Wyle, "THE WHY is a truly original take on a very serious and very complex subject: what is happening to the youth of America? Why are kids killing each other? Who or what is to blame? Through blended styles, mixed media, and a constant shifting between drama, farce, satire, and melodrama, THE WHY… manages to debunk several popular theories being touted by 'experts' in the media. Its continued relevance is frightening." And personally, I love theater that makes you think, even if there is no apparent answer to the questions being asked. (more...)

BWW Reviews: Runaway Stage Productions' BONNIE & CLYDEBWW Reviews: Runaway Stage Productions' BONNIE & CLYDE
by Meg Masterson - Sep 7, 2014

The production is a good effort on Runaway's part, but Bonnie and Clyde's writing is not the best material to work with. The show leaves me questioning why we are retelling this story, especially in such a bland manner. If we are going to revive our folk heroes on stage, they deserve something with a little more spark than Wildhorn's formulaic treatment. (more...)

Summer Stages: Top Theatre Picks for NashvilleSummer Stages: Top Theatre Picks for Nashville
by Cara Richardson - Jun 6, 2014

Summer is already in full swing in the South. Back yard cookouts and swimming pools, summer camps and vacations are happening everywhere you look. I often find theatre slightly more difficult to find during the summer, so I've done a little research to help you find a good show when you need one. Cause after all, sometimes a nice air conditioned theatre is just the place to be on a humid summer day in Tennessee. (more...)
