    The Shapiro Sisters' debut album LIVE OUT LOUD: LIVE AT 54 BELOW will be released on September 9th, 2014. The Shapiro Sisters, 11-year old Milly Shapiro (Matilda, Original Broadway Cast of Matilda The Musical) and older sister, 14-year-old Abigail Shapiro (Cindy Lou Who, How The Grinch Stole Christmas), recorded the album live at the famed 54 BELOW over a series of three performances this past May and June. The Shapiro Sisters are returned to 54 BELOW last night, August 28th at 7:00 PM, for an encore performance to celebrate the launch of their new CD. Check out photos from the special event below!     New York - Producers Bruce Cohen, Robb Nanus, Jessica Leventhal, Bruce Robert Harris and Jack W. Batman announced today that child actor Noah Marlowe (Mary Poppins, Act One) will play "Young Harvey Milk" in the New York premiere of Tony and Grammy Award nominee Andrew Lippa's new oratorio, I Am Harvey Milk, set for Monday, October 6 at Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall. Mr. Marlowe originated the role in I Am Harvey Milk's world premiere performance in San Francisco and can be heard on the Original Cast Recording. (more...)

    Studio East and StoryBook Theater will bring two wonderful children's tales for the whole family to the stage this Fall. A Little Princess, recommended for children ages 6+, will be performed by a talented cast of Eastside youth actors ages 10-19. Kids as young as 3 years old will enjoy the humorous antics that StoryBook Theater's Hansel & Gretel get involved in.     Palo Alto Players opens its 84th season with the West Coast premiere of the colorful and stirring musical, Big Fish (based on the novel by Daniel Wallace and the Columbia Motion Picture written by John August). With music & lyrics by Andrew Lippa and book by John August, this tender tribute to family and the magic of storytelling is a feast for the eyes, as well as the heart.     Contra Costa Civic Theatre (CCCT) opens its 55th season with the Bay Area premiere of The Addams Family, a new musical based on the delightfully macabre drawings by cartoonist Charles Addams. CCCT's production will be directed and choreographed by New York-based Alex Perez and music directed by Michael Wiles, with set design by Stewart Lyle, costume design by Lisa Danz, lighting design by Zoe Gopnik-McManus, and sound design by Michael Kelly. This multiple Tony and Drama Desk award nominee, with book by Marshall Brickman (Jersey Boys) and Rick Elice (Peter and the Starcatcher), and music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa (The Wild Party), plays weekends from Sep 19-Oct 19.     The Addams Family, the musical comedy based on the beloved Addams family cartoons created by Charles Addams, comes to life August 22, 2014 and runs through September 14, 2014 on the Lohrey Stage at Theatre Memphis. The frightfully funny and comically macabre show opens the 2014 -15 season for Theatre Memphis and features well known characters such as Gomez, Morticia, Wednesday, Pugsley, Uncle Fester, Lurch and Grandma. Director Cecelia Wingate returns to Theatre Memphis at the helm of the production having directed last season's Theatre Memphis hit, Young Frankenstein.
