BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! offered New Yorkers a free evening of empowering music and dance at the Prospect Park Bandshell on July 21st 2016.  The program began with Brandee Younger's glistening jazzy harp music following the traditions of Dorothy Ashby and Alice Coltrane.  Younger's mellow jazzy music scintillated throughout the park as she played original compositions and covers of Coltrane and Ashby.  (more...)

The season will begin with Roxey Ballet's popular In-Studio events, leading up to the Halloween Community Engagement performance of 'Frankenstein'. The 22nd Annual Holiday Classic 'Nutcracker' opens at the end of November. Spring performances include a collaboration with Princeton Pro Musica in 'Carmina Burana', 'Cinderella', and an exciting performance of Roxey Ballet's Healing Arts Project, 'C-Word: Stories of Cancer Survivors'. When Distiller Allisa Henley first discovered George Dickel Tennessee Whisky's newest 17-Year Old addition to the portfolio, she wasn't really even looking for it. At the time, she was searching George Dickel's single story barrel warehouses for 9-Year Old whisky to use in the Hand Selected Barrel Program she'd launched in 2014. However, after pulling a sample from a row of 17-Year Old barrels near the back of one of the warehouses, she knew it was too good not to share as the extra time in the barrel had resulted in a perfectly balanced, flavorful sipping whisky.
