Based on 'Anna and the King of Siam' by Margaret Landon,' with music by Richard Rodgers, and book and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, The King and I was originally choreographed by Jerome Robbins.

Drury Lane Theatre opens its 2022/2023 season with the celebrated Tony Award-winning musical Rodgers and Hammerstein's The King and I. Based on 'Anna and the King of Siam' by Margaret Landon,' with music by Richard Rodgers, and book and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, The King and I was originally choreographed by Jerome Robbins.

This month, New Yorkers can enjoy more than 100 free visual art, music, dance, theater, and multidisciplinary public programs being offered by members of the New York City Artist Corps.

Radial Park opened its latest cinemersive experience last night with the iconic, blockbuster, fan-favorite film, The Blues Brothers! The Blues Brothers, features a live band and theatrical performances seamless timed in-sync with the movie in a one-of-a-kind hybrid mashup. The Blues Brothers, is directed by Kristine Bendul and Waldemar QuinonesVillanueva, and features a cast that includes Broadway's Charity Angel Dawson, Nick Rashad Burroughs, F. Michael Haynie, Brian Charles Johnson, and Antoine L. Smith, along with Ladonna Burns and Anne Fraser Thomas.

Radial Park has brought us The Phantom of the Opera, Purple Rain, Selena and more through their 'Broadway at the Drive-In' series, and now they're back with a live, 'cinemersive' production of The Blues Brothers, opening Thursday, May 27 at 8:00 PM!

While Bridge Street Theatre's initial Dance Residency Initiative has been completed, the Catskill performance space is continuing to make its facility available to artists developing new work

This new musical with book, lyrics and music by Dustin Ceithamer, set in the eccentric world of 1980's Wrestling, features Nick Rashad Burroughs, Blaine Alden Krauss, AJ Rafael, Correy West, Jamari Johnson Williams,  Adrianna Rose Lyons, Dexter McKinney Jr., Karl Warden, Matthew Ballestero and more!

Georgian-born folk/indie artist Nainnoh has just released a new music video! Entitled “Run,” the intimate video is a collaboration between Nainnoh and two dancers who perform with Twyla Tharp and Martha Graham: Kristine Bendul and Abdiel Jacobsen. The music also features composer John Sully playing a traditional, recorder-like Georgian instrument known as the Salamuri.

The Broadway Education Alliance has announced the 87-high school students who will participate in the 10th annual Roger Rees Awards for Excellence in Student Performance.

Buglisi Dance Theatre celebrates its 26th Anniversary Season with a program of works by artistic director Jacqulyn Buglisi, company principal dancer Virginie Mécène, Kristine Bendul and Abdiel Jacobsen, and Meagan King.  The program will feature two world premieres by Ms. Buglisi, and a NYC premiere by Ms. Mécène, presented with a commissioning award from the New York State Council on the Arts, and performed by the brilliant of company dancers known for their power and passion.  The Tuesday December 10 performance, an early Performance of Premieres running one hour, will begin at 6 PM and consist of The Moss Anthology: Variation#5, UNUM, In the name of the fire, and the flame, and grace, and Sand.   The full program will be performed Wednesday and Thursday, with curtain time at 7:30 PM.

The Color Iz was part dance showcase, part musical theatre and part gender-bending Drag show with a heavy, heady dose of disco, glam and glitter and a focus on celebrating all shades of expression in dance and identity.
