The 2015 Tony nominated musical On the Town announced today a brand new online reservation system, allowing for an online seat reservation prior to a ticket purchase. Beginning Friday, May 22, ticket-buyers can go to OnTheTownBroadway.com and reserve their tickets, at no charge, for an upcoming performance. Once the reservation is complete, the tickets can be paid for at the Lyric Theatre Box Office (213 West 42nd Street) up until one hour prior to curtain. (more...)

ABT's 75th Anniversary Gala, a balletomane's dream of a performance on May 18th 2015 at the Metropolitan Opera House in Lincoln Center, treated the nearly sold-out audience to a joyous celebration in dance and archival images of the American Ballet Theatre's seven-and-a-half decade reign as 'America's National Ballet Company'. That designation became official with an act of Congress on April 27th 2006, but the troupe founded by Richard Pleasant with Lucia Chase and Oliver Smith as Co-Directors in 1940 had embraced the ethos of this country right from the start. Lisa made her Broadway debut as Rona Lisa Peretti in the 2006 Tony nominated production of 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE. From there she has been seen on Broadway in SOUTH PACIFIC, PRISCILLA, QUEEN OF THE DESERT, and 9 TO 5. In IT SHOULDA BEEN YOU, Howard has received glowing notices and a Drama Desk Award nomination for her turn as Jenny, older sister of the Bride who's gone out of her way to plan the perfect wedding. DMI Soundtracks has announced the immediate availability on iTunes of the New Broadway Cast Recording for Gigi, Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe's beloved Oscar and Tony Award-winning musical comedy.  The recording was produced and engineered by six-time Grammy Award winner Frank Filipetti.  The CD is slated for release in June.  (more...)

The Muny announced today the complete cast for its production of Irving Berlin's Holiday Inn. Based on the 1942 film, Irving Berlin's Holiday Inn features music and lyrics by Irving Berlin with a book by Gordon Greenberg and Chad Hodge. Greenberg will direct the Muny production with choreography by Denis Jones. Musical direction is by James Moore, vocal and dance arrangements are by Sam Davis with additional arrangements by Bruce Pomahac, and orchestrations by Larry Blank. The Muny's production of Irving Berlin's Holiday Inn is its second production worldwide. (more...)
