Seattle Men's Chorus Celebrates Seattle's LGBTQ Underground Railroad
Seattle Men's Chorus (SMC) shines the light on Seattle's pivotal role as a safe haven in the LGBTQ Underground Railroad that began in 2009. Local activists like Michael Failla and members from the Seattle Men's Chorus are opening their hearts, homes and wallets by providing housing, furniture, job contracts, training and emotional support to LGBTQ individuals seeking asylum from the dangers in their Muslim-majority homelands. Ultimately, the Seattle community's efforts have brought nearly 90 brave refugees to Seattle and other cities in Europe and North America where their identity is not reviled and they don't live in fear.

Music heals, music inspires, music transcends; artistic director Paul Caldwell has selected a broad repertoire of pieces for the 2019-2020 season that do all these things while also reflecting upon the times in which we live. It features a special appearance by the nation's premier Cher impersonator Chad Michaels who hair-flipped his way to the championship of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars.

Seattle Men's Chorus (SMC) rings in the holiday season with the high-spirited Jingle All the Way from December 9-23 at Benaroya Hall. For the first time since 2004, Seattle Men's Chorus and Seattle Women's Chorus will debut a new vocal ensemble. The Supertonics will share their tight-harmony a cappella sound for the very first time this December while sharing the stage with SMC.

Seattle Men's Chorus (SMC) takes the McCaw Hall stage on Pride weekend to honor 50 years of British rock and pop royalty in God Save the Queens. The British are coming! From the swinging '60s to today's biggest hits this British invasion is so lush and flashy it edges on revolutionary. God Save the Queens is a musical journey through the UK artists, generation by generation, that have reigned supreme, from The Beatles, Queen, and Elton John, to Coldplay, Adele and One Direction. Pop singer, performance artist, and finalist from "America's Got Talent" Prince Poppycock joins the chorus as their special guest.

400 members of Seattle Men's Chorus (SMC) and Seattle Women's Chorus (SWC) join together in song at McCaw Hall for Not In Our Town on April 7, 2018 at 8pm and April 8, 2018 at 2pm. New York-based comedian and YouTube sensation Randy Rainbow is making his Seattle debut as the special guest for both performances. In addition to live performances of his wildly popular parody videos, Rainbow will sing hit songs with the Choruses, including the Oscar-nominated and Golden Globe-winning song "This is Me" from The Greatest Showman.
