Barry Anderson has rural Midwestern roots. He was born and raised in Osseo, Wisconsin and began singing and studying piano as a young kid. He started acting at age 12, appearing in a summer stock production of Peter Pan. After graduating with a music degree from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire, he worked steadily in regional theatres and moved to New York City. After studying acting with Rochelle Oliver at HB Studio, Barry began work in film and television, including several short films and appearances on As The World Turns and 30 Rock. On Broadway, Barry appeared as Aaron Schultz in Legally Blonde The Musical and as Bob Crewe in Jersey Boys. In December 2011, Barry opened the Jersey Boys 2nd National Tour, playing record producer Bob Crewe. He remained with the production until 2017.
