Lyric Hammersmith Theatre has announced the full cast and creative team for the UK premiere of Alice Childress’ Wedding Band:  A Love/Hate Story in Black and White, directed by Stage Debut Award winner Monique Touko, who returns to the Lyric after the smash-hit production of School Girls; Or, The African Mean Girls Play.

He captures the grievous nature of oppressive racism and the fears of mixed-race couples in doomed relationships. This outstanding production of Wedding Band is being presented by The Black Rep at COCA’s Catherine B. Berges Theatre through March 31st.

The St. Louis Black Repertory Company will continue its 47th Season with Alice Childress' masterpiece WEDDING BAND. Directed by Geovonday Jones, the production opens tonight and runs through Sunday, March 31 in the Berges Theatre.
