Loft Ensemble is pleased to announce the world premiere musical, Wanting Miss Julie. This will be Loft's inaugural production of a musical. Loosely adapted from Strindberg's famous play, Wanting Miss Julie is a drama about isolation, temptation, and the consequences of giving into both. The show previews March 19 and March 20 with a special opening night on Monday, March 21 at 8PM. From there, the show will run on Saturdays at 8PM and Sundays at 7PM. Tickets are $25. (Please note - no performances on Saturday April 2 and Sunday April 3 due to a private event.)

Loosely adapted from Strindberg's classic play, Wanting Miss Julie is a world premiere musical set in the super-sophisticated, moneyed, political world of the Hamptons. Julie Stoddard is stunning, smart and dangerous. Isolated in her mansion with only imaginary friends as companions, she plays with sex and drugs to defy her father Stoddard, and to ensnare John, the rising MBA in his firm.

ADVISORY: Wanting Miss Julie contains some strong language and adult situations.

Loft Ensemble is a downtown Los Angeles theatre company based in the Arts District, a member of the LA STAGE Alliance (winner of two Ovation Awards for the 2014-2015 season) and the Theatrical Producers League of Los Angeles (TPLLA). The ensemble is led by Artistic Director Adam Chambers (star of Disney Channel's Girl Vs. Monster and I Heart Vampires), and Managing Director Kevin Meoak (producer A Ring in Brooklyn - NoHo Arts 2012, LoveSick - Fringe NYC 2012, 2008 LA Weekly Awards, Assoc. Prod. Louis and Keely Live at the Sahara at The Matrix). The company was founded in 2007 by a group of actors who participated in a full year of Viewpoints workshops before producing any shows. Loft started full seasons in 2010, and has since presented over 20 original plays and several successful revivals. In 2012, Loft traveled to the New York International Fringe Festival and was recognized for Outstanding Ensemble with its production of LoveSick. The ensemble is one of the fastest growing companies in Los Angeles.
