Tradition takes a sentimental twist this holiday season in A Beef & Boards Christmas 2010, now on stage at Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre. Inspired by the Golden Age of television, this annual production offers an entertaining cavalcade of comedy, dance and music with performances by many Beef & Boards favorites through Dec. 23.

Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre is taking a nostalgic approach to its own original holiday extravaganza, which is now in its 18th year. Styled after the classic variety shows of Jackie Gleason, Ed Sullivan, Red Skelton, Dinah Shore and Bob Hope, A Beef & Boards Christmas 2010 presents the sights, sounds and songs of the season in an all-new, fun and festive production for the whole family.

The Beef & Boards Orchestra takes the stage, where holiday songs, skits and stories are showcased by a variety of talent including Christine Mild, Christopher Dickerson, John Vessels, Kenny Shepard and Deb Wims. Even Santa stops by to be a part of this musical celebration of the season, along with sisters Anna and Sydney Miller of Fishers.

There are 36 performances of A Beef & Boards Christmas 2010 scheduled in the intimate space of Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre. Tickets range from $35 to $58, and include Chef Odell Ward's holiday buffet, with a fruit & salad bar, unlimited coffee and tea. Ample free parking is available.

For reservations, call the Beef & Boards Box Office at 317.872.9664. Box office hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays.

Unlike previous seasons, this year's production concludes on Dec. 23 and therefore does not include New Year's Eve. Instead, the New Year's Eve celebration at Beef & Boards will feature a performance of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, the first show of the 38th Season.
