POLITICAL SUBVERSITIES, an original musical sketch comedy cabaret, will play Joe's Pub on Friday September 3rd at 7:30 PM.

Initially conceived by 5-time Tony Award Nominee and 3-time Obie Award winner Liz Swados, POLITICAL SUBVERSITIES is a cabaret of darkly funny songs and sketches about culture, politics and the outrageous world we live in. The Poli-Sub company has dazzled and sold-out The PIT, The Culture Project, and now returns to Joe's Pub with this fast-paced and ever-evolving show written by a cast of young actors, writers, singers and sketch comedians. The evening at Joe's Pub will feature favorite songs and sketches from the sold-out 2010 summer run at the People's Improv Theater. Tickets are $15 and are available at joespub.com or at the door.
POLITICAL SUBVERSITIES is created and performed by a cast of young, vibrant writers and performers including Kim Blanck (Sutton Foster's From Rodgers to Heart), Todd Dakotah Briscoe, Jabari Brisport (Tartuffe), Andrew Butler, Ismael Cruz Cordova, NicHi Douglas, Matthew Robert Gehring, Emma Tattenbaum-Fine, Shaina K. Taub (Seussical, The Daughters) and Dominique Toney (A Woman Killed with Kindness). Directed by Andrew Neisler (Our Farm), Assistant Directed by Annie Tippe with Music Direction by Matt Vinson .

Joe's Pub is located within The Public Theater at 425 Lafayette Street. Tickets, priced $15, are available by visiting www.joespub.com or by calling (212) 967 - 7555.
