ESPN2 will televise two USA BASKETBALL women's exhibition games in advance of the 2014 FIBA World Championship for Women beginning on Thursday, Sept. 11, with the Red/White Game from the University of Delaware in Newark, at 7 p.m. Team USA will then face Team Canada on Monday, Sept. 15, at 7 p.m. from Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, Conn. Pam Ward and Carolyn Peck will have the call.
ESPN3 will carry the FIBA Basketball Women's World Cup live from Ankara and Istanbul, Turkey, beginning Saturday, Sept. 27. The FIBA World Championship final will be shown on ESPN2 on Sunday, Oct. 5, at 2 p.m. Athletes participating in the USA training camp in hopes of being named to the 2014 USA World Championship Team include: Seimone Augustus (Minnesota Lynx), Sue Bird (Seattle Storm), Tina Charles (New York Liberty), Skylar Diggins (Tulsa Shock), Stefanie Dolson(Washington Mystics), Bria Hartley (Washington Mystics), Briann January (Indiana Fever),Jantel Lavender (Los Angeles Sparks), Kayla McBride (San Antonio Stars), Angel McCoughtry(Atlanta Dream), Maya Moore (Minnesota Lynx), Chiney Ogwumike (Connecticut Sun),Nnemkadi Ogwumike (Los Angeles Sparks), Danielle Robinson (San Antonio Stars), Odyssey Sims (Tulsa Shock), Breanna Stewart (University of Connecticut) and LINDSAY Whalen (Minnesota Lynx). The Chicago Sky's Elena Delle Donne, Sylvia Fowles and Courtney Vandersloot and the Phoenix Mercury's DeWanna Bonner, Candice Dupree, Brittney Griner and Diana Tauarasi are competing for the WNBA Championship and are also in the mix of athletes in the running for the USA World Championship Team.Videos
