Adam Lambert Ranked Highest-Earning AMERICAN IDOL Contestant of 2015

Billboard.com reports that a recent Forbes ranking shows AMERICAN IDOL Season 8 runner up Adam Lambert as the top money making Idol of 2015.

The news marks the first time that Lambert, who fronted the iconic band Queen throughout the year, has come in the number one spot of the annual ranking. According to the Forbes report, he earrned a whopping $10 million in 2015.

In second place is country superstar Carrie Underwood, raking in an estimated $8 million. The new mom released her album Storyteller in October, and performed in concert throughout the year. She previously held the number one spot on the list.

Chris Daughtry comes in third place, earning $6 million for his performances with his band Daughtry. The rockers performed at more shows than any other Idol on the list.

Season 11 champ Phillip Phillips takes fourth place with $5 million, followed by country music's Scotty McCreery who ties for fifth place with Kelly Clarkson. Both performers earned $4 million for the year.
