NEWS YOU MISSED YESTERDAY:

Broadway Weather Forecast: Stay dry at the theatre! Thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening, high of 82 degrees.

Quote of the Day: In honor of Sting's THE LAST SHIP opening in Chicago, some serious words from the composer /lyricist...

I don't need to manufacture trauma in my life to be creative. I have a big enough reservoir of sadness or emotional trauma to last me.
-- Sting (via BrainyQuote)

What we're listening to: THE JERSEY BOYS movie soundtrack, mixed with a little of "The Very Best of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons" CD, which is now at No. 1 on Amazon, thanks to Clint Eastwood's film!

And finally, a Happy Birthday shout-out to June Lockhart, who turns 89 today!

Lockhart starred on Broadway in 1947's For Love or Money, for which she won the '48 Tony Award for Outstanding Performance by a Newcomer, and The Grand Prize in 1955.
