Quote of the Day: A word from 'REVOLVER CREEK' writer Athol Fugard...

"What I quickly discovered is that our so-called new South Africa has as much material for a story-teller as the old one. The landscape hasn't really changed. Who is in power now is different to who was in power then, but the squatter camps grow like cancer, the rich get richer, the poor get poorer."
-- Athol Fugard (via BrainyQuote)

And a Happy Birthday shout-out to Charlotte d'Amboise, who turns 51 today!

Tony nominee d'Amboise last appeared on Broadway in Pippin as 'Fastrada', a role she is reprising in select cities on tour. Among her past Broadway credits are A Chorus Line, Sweet Charity, Contact, Chicago, Company, Damn Yankees, Jerome Robbins' Broadway, Carrie, Song and Dance and Cats. She also starred in this year's Carousel at the Lyric Opera of Chicago.
