Tony Nominee Julie Gregg Dies at 79

According to The Hollywood Reporter, stage and film actress Julie Gregg has passed away at the age of 79, following a long battle with cancer.

Best known for her appearances in the first two Godfather films as Sandra Corleone, Gregg also appeared on Broadway in the Kander and Ebb musical The Happy Time as Laurie Mannon. The role earned Gregg both a Theatre World Award for an outstanding Broadway debut, and a Tony nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Musical.

Gregg's other film appearances include Man of La Mancha and several roles in the original Batman franchise; Gregg first played Finella (the Penguin's moll), before going on to assume the roles of a lounge singer and Miss Canary Islands.
