Empireonline reports that Daniel Radcliffe may soon be reuniting with Kill Your Darlings director John Krokidas and co-star Dane DeHaan in the upcoming film COLLEGE REPUBLICANS.

The project would feature the actors portraying the young Lee Atwater and Karl Rove in their early years, before both men became big players in American politics.

The script, by Wes Jones, hit the Black List in 2010 and originally saw Richard Linklater and Paul Dano on board as director and star, respectively. Those plans have since been canceled.

According to the report, the story, based on real life events from the 1970s, centers on "Rove (DeHaan) as he runs a dirty campaign for national College Republican Chairman under the tutelage of Atwater (Radcliffe). Their campaign includes a wild road trip intended to drum up support."

Radcliffe's recent film work includes roles in Kill Your Darlings, Horns and The F Word. The actor will next be seen on the big screen in Frankenstein. He also recently finished a run starring onstage in Michael Grandage's production of The Cripple of Inishmaan at the West End's Noel Coward Theatre.

The actor is best known for playing the title role in the 'Harry Potter' film franchise. He made his Broadway debut, to much acclaim, in Equus, and made his Broadway musical debut as J. Pierrepont Finch in the recent revival of the Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning How to Suceed in Business Without Really Trying.
