Academy Award-winning actress and resident artistic director of Australia's Sydney Theatre Company Cate Blanchett stars in a eye-grabbing new production of Jean Genet's 1947 play THE MAIDS, directed by Benedict Andrews, featuring a new translation by Andrews and co-artistic director Andrew Upton, and production shots of the star live onstage have been released.

Blanchett co-stars with French film icon Isabelle Huppert as well as rising star Elizabeth Debicki in the new production of the new translation of the surreal French comedy, which has been met with overwhelmingly favorable reviews following its Australian opening earlier this month.

A startling and attention-grabbing trailer in addition to a series of unique and arresting promotional images have recently been released in addition to these revealing shots of the unique production.

THE MAIDS runs through July 20 at the Sydney Theatre Company. More information on THE MAIDS is available at the official site here.
