Broadway headliner and popular TV personality Debra Monk brings her characteristic charm and way with a melody to long-running radio staple A PRAIRIE HOME COMPANION this week.

No doubt, the variety show format will allow the versatile stage and screen star ample opportunities to display her comedic flair and musical panache, alongside noted host Garrison Keillor and company.

The official description of this week's A PRAIRIE HOME COMPANION is as follows: "This week on A Prairie Home Companion with Garrison Keillor, it's a live broadcast from The Town Hall in New York City. With special guests, British rock 'n' roller Nick Lowe and actress Debra Monk. Plus, the Royal Academy of Radio Actors, Sue Scott, Tim Russell, and FrEd Newman, The Guy's All-Star Shoe Band, and the latest News from Lake Wobegon."

A PRAIRIE HOME COMPANION airs Saturdays on PBS.

According to the official site, "A Prairie Home Companion is heard by 4 million listeners each week on more than 600 public radio stations, and abroad on America One and the Armed Forces Networks in Europe and the Far East. Garrison recalls, "When the show started, it was something funny to do with my friends, and then it became an achievement that I hoped would be successful, and now it's a good way of life."
