Music Theatre of Wichita first presented this witty and pun-filled adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen's "The Ugly Duckling" in 2001, and was privileged to record the original American cast album. A superb family show, with plenty to delight both kids and adults, HONK! combines a wonderful message about inclusiveness with a tuneful, genuinely funny score from the team of George Stiles and Anthony Drewe, currently represented on Broadway for their musical contributions to the Cameron Mackintosh – Disney Company stage version of Mary Poppins.
