Join us for a series of talks in the Elgar Room, based around the themes of immigration, as part of Journeys.Nitin Sawhney explores the themes contained within his new album Immigrants, and talks to fellow artists about how they approach the creative process.Panel speakers to include Nitin Sawhney, alt-soul singer Aruba Red, and saxophonist and broadcaster YolanDa Brown.YolanDa Brown is an award-winning musician, BBC radio broadcaster and champion for music education. She is currently composing music for the iconic Sesame Street and an animated series due for release in 2022 and recently released her debut childrens album under Sony Music Magic Star to rave reviews.Alt-soul songstress Aruba Red has worked and toured with the likes of Nitin Sawnhey, Maverick Sabre, Phil Manzanera, Ms Dynamite, Plan B and Riz Ahmed, and has held residencies at Londons Roundhouse and Southbank Centre as well as hitting the stage at festivals and venues nationwide and overseas. She recently released a seven-part wellness series on YouTube, supported by Help Musicians UK, and is currently in the studio completing her new album due for release in 2022.
