Returning to London for two nights only, award-winning cult performance artist Louise Orwin brings FAMEHUNGRY- a helter-skelter nosedive through TikTok in a sisyphean mission to make art and find beauty and hope in the relentless, Almighty Algorithm-feeding attention economy.
Made in collaboration with a real life TikTok star, FAMEHUNGRY plays to two simultaneous audiences: one in the theatre, and an unsuspecting one on TikTok. Loud, fast, unpredictable and occasionally messy, it asks what lengths we'll go to be seen- and what it means to make art in an era when everything is content. Unlike anything you’ve seen before, this is theatre redefined for the brat generation (sort of).
Having toured to Edinburgh, New York, Mexico's Festival Internacional Cervantino, Denmark and Malta, FAMEHUNGRY makes its long-awaited London return to Battersea Arts Centre.
