Video: Jordan Luke Gage and Daniel Krikler Perform ‘A Million Things I Know’ From REDCLIFFE
The new musical inspired by a true 18th-century love story premieres at Southwark Playhouse Borough this month.
New video has been released of Jordan Luke Gage and Daniel Krikler performing “A Million Things I Know” from the new musical REDCLIFFE. The production, written by and starring Gage, is based on the true story of William Critchard and Richard Arnold in 18th-century Bristol. REDCLIFFE will run at Southwark Playhouse Borough from May 22 through July 4, 2026.
Set in 18th-century England, REDCLIFFE is based on the true story of William Critchard and Richard Arnold and explores themes of forbidden love and persecution in Bristol during a period when LGBTQ+ individuals faced criminalization and social persecution.
The musical follows William, a man from humble beginnings, whose life changes after meeting Richard, a sailor visiting the town. Their relationship forces both men to confront societal expectations and reconsider their understanding of themselves and the world around them.
Jordan Luke Gage, whose stage credits include BONNIE & CLYDE, HEATHERS, and & JULIET, wrote the musical and will star as William. Daniel Krikler (FIDDLER ON THE ROOF) will portray Richard.
The cast will also feature Rebecca Lock (HERE AND NOW) as Mother, Jess Douglas Welsh (WOVEN: A NEW MUSICAL) as Abigail, Adrian Hansel (WE WILL ROCK YOU) as Baber, Melissa Jacques (JUST FOR ONE DAY) as Georgie/Judge, Jade Johnson (& JULIET) as Landlady, Phoebe Kyriakopoulos (A VERY MUSICAL BIRTHDAY IN CONCERT) as Esther, Joseph Peacock (DEAR EVAN HANSEN) as Arthur, and Steven Serlin (HERE WE ARE) as Officer/Felix.

REDCLIFFE will run for a limited engagement at Southwark Playhouse Borough from May 22 through July 4, 2026.
The production features a book, music, and lyrics by Jordan Luke Gage and is directed by Paul Foster, with choreography by Emma Woods.
The creative team also includes set designer Andrew Exeter, Costume Designer Martin Hanly, lighting designer Matt Hockley, sound designer Alistair Penman, musical supervisor Katy Richardson, associate musical director and orchestrator Ben Tomalin, additional orchestrator Ben Ferguson, production manager James Anderton, and assistant designer Ethan Davis. Casting is by Will Burton.
