REDCLIFFE Will Host Weekly Post-Show Q&A Sessions at Southwark Playhouse Borough
The musical by Jordan Luke Gage will feature weekly panels on design, music, and queer storytelling
Following the Tuesday matinee performances of the production of Redcliffe, there will be Question and Answer sessions hosted by a different respected member of the theatre community. There will also be an additional Thursday evening Q&A hosted by the charity, Stonewall Housing.
These sittings will last around 25 minutes and focus on a different theatre department each week, giving audience members unique insight into what goes into creating a production.

Week 6 – Thursday 2 July – Exploring Queer Stories
Hosted by Stonewall Housing with Jordan Luke Gage
A percentage of merchandise sales will go to the charity Stonewall Housing who are the leading national charity supporting LGBTQ+ people of all ages who live in the UK and are experiencing homelessness or living in an unsafe environment. Founded in 1983, they provide specialist housing advice, advocacy and support for LGBTQ+ people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. They support thousands of LGBTQ+ people in the UK every year.
Set against the backdrop of 18th Century England, the new musical is based on the haunting true story of William Critchard and Richard Arnold in Redcliffe, Bristol and is an epic tale of forbidden love during the persecution people faced for hundreds of years.
Redcliffe will be led by Jordan Luke Gage (Bonnie & Clyde, Heathers, &Juliet), also writer of the piece, as William with Rebecca Lock (Here and Now) as Mother, Daniel Krikler (Fiddler On The Roof) as Richard, Jess Douglas Welsh (Woven: A New Musical) as Abigail, Adrian Hansel (We Will Rock You) as Baber, Melissa Jacques (Just For One Day) as Georgie/Judge, Jade Johnson (&Juliet) as Landlady, Phoebe Kyriakopoulos (A Very Musical Birthday in Concert) as Esther, Joseph Peacock (Dear Evan Hansen) as Arthur and Steven Serlin (Here We Are) as Officer/Felix.
William, a man from humble beginnings, is swept up in a hurricane of passion and danger when he meets Richard, a sailor visiting the town. This meeting forces both men to question everything they knew about the world and themselves.
Redcliffe will run for a limited time, fully staged, at Southwark Playhouse Borough from 22 May until 4 July 2026.
