National Geographic Live is thrilled to announce the return of the Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival World Tour at National Geographic's headquarters in Washington, D.C. Taking place January 30 – February 4, 2023, an awe-inspiring slate of two dozen short films, shot on location and spanning multiple countries and continents around the world, will be showcased across the six days of scheduled programming.
For more than 25 years, National Geographic has hosted this premier event where you can experience some of the best storytelling about adventure and the great outdoors. Bike through old-growth forests, ski down towering mountains, kayak rugged rivers, run an ultra-race and much more — all from the comfort of your seat at National Geographic!
From walking on clouds to defy gravity and attempting the highest highline record in the world in Brazil, to one woman’s perspective about revolutionizing the outdoor industry after age 50 and beyond, uncovering what polar bears think of humans in one international destination, or one teen’s dream to find a quiet place in the world from New York City’s bustling cityscape and more, there are a wealth of adventurous tales to be admired and learned from.
This year’s World Tour includes three exceptional programs of films each screened on two separate nights starting at 7 p.m. Full film descriptions can be found on the website.
