A part of Baltimore's Free Fall, CenterStage is expanding its popular open house to include LOTS of area theatre groups (including Spotlighters and RepStage).  The event will happen rain or shine this Saturday, October 7th from 10AM -3PM.  Events include:  Booths and performances by many local troupes, street performers, food vendors, a backstage tour of CenterStage, make up, lighting and sound demonstrations, a tag sale of costumes and props and a stage combat workshop, plus MUCH more.  Admission to this event is FREE!  Celebrate local theatre as only Baltimore can!

 

SPOTLIGHTERS TO PRESENT ANGELS IN AMERICA: THE MILLENNIUM APPROACHES

This first of a two-part epic play about AIDS in America is a major award winner, both onstage (both parts won the Tony for Best Play) and on television (it won MANY Emmy Awards a few years ago).  And now, Baltimore's very own Spotlighters Theatre is presenting Angels in America: The Millennium Approaches beginning Friday, October 13 through Sunday, November 11th.  Performances are Friday and Saturday at 8PM, Sunday at 2PM.  Tickets are $20, $18 for BTA members, students and seniors, and just $15.00 for BroadwayWorld.com readers who mention "BroadwayWorld.com" at the time of purchase either by phone or at the box office.  RESERVATIONS ARE STONGLY RECOMMENDED.  ** Parental Advisory:  This production contains nudity, adult language and adult content.  No one under the age of 16 will be admitted without an adult.  (To be reviewed 10/13/2006.)

 

DREAMGIRLS TO BE PRESENTED AT CCBC CATONSVILLE

Winters Lane Productions will be presenting the smash musical Dreamgirls beginning October 13 through 29th at CCBC Catonsville's Q Theatre.  Soon to be a major motion picture, this stunning musical is sponsored by DreamWorks Pictures, producers of the upcoming film.  Advance tickets are $18/$16 for Students, Children and Seniors; At the Door tickets are $20/$18 for Students, Children and Seniors.  Gala Opening Night tickets, including the show and a silent auction (starting at 6PM) are $40.00 and benefit Chase Braxton Health Services.  The performance schedule varies.  For information, see the October Charm City Calendar.
