Lafayette Wright’s obsessions with art and expression fuel who he is both onstage and off. He has spent close to a decade honing his skills on the DC comedy scene, and now has a razor sharp act and undeniable onstage likability. He was featured in an episode of Kevin Hart's “Hart of the City” on Comedy Central and recently filmed a set for Don't Tell Comedy that has garnered over 4 Million views across social media platforms. Badar Tareen is a civil rights attorney by day and an award-winning stand-up comedian and filmmaker by night. Known for his sharp, energetic, and analytical comedy, Badar captivates audiences with his wit and engaging presence, drawing rich material from his day job, family, and background as a Pakistani Muslim who grew up in a small town in North Dakota. He runs the show, BrownTown, at the DC Improv, and has been featured at over a dozen comedy festivals, performing at clubs across the U.S., Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. In 2024, he was selected to headline his own show at the DC Capital Fringe Festival, which received the “Best of the Fest” designation and was featured in The Washington Post. This year, Forbes named Badar as one of the 12 Rising AAPI Stand-Up Comedians To Watch. Joey Friedman began performing at her parent’s dinner table in Monsey, NY. As a cancer survivor, she has nothing to fear and delivers jokes with an unshakable frankness. She has hosted for super cool fancy folk like Ari Shaffir, Brad Williams, Emily Catalano, Julie Kim, and Louis Katz. You can see her perform regularly at the DC Improv. Adam Freesman is one of the fastest rising comedians in the DMV. He has featured on Nate Bargatze’s Nateland Live, and has performed at renowned venues across the country including Jimmy Kimmel’s Comedy Club, The Comedy Store, The Lyric Theater, Second City, The Stand and some other venues he’d rather not admit. Adam often opens for HBO’s Modi Rosenfeld, and has also worked with the likes of Morgan Jay, Geoffrey Asmus, and more.
