Their popularity soared, as did their artistic vision, when their songs including Mrs. Robinson and Scarborough Fair were featured prominently in the soundtrack to The Graduate. 1970’s Bridge Over Troubled Water album featuring The Boxer, Cecelia and The Only Living Boy in New York saw them sweeping the Grammy Awards and cementing their place in music history. Kipyn Martin & Heather Lloyd are two of the finest singers and most popular performers in the regional folk scene. Tom Lofgren toured the world as a part of brother Nils Lofgrens’ bands for 25 years and has been a cornerstone of Newmyer Flyers’ popular Beatles tributes. Mark Lofgren has been wowing audiences singing with the Lofgren Brothers and with Grin Again. Drummer Tom Fridrich and bassist Ronnie Newmyer are a versatile rhythm section and round out the band. Newmyer Flyer is the DC areas’ premier tribute concert producer and the 2nd production company from BandHouse Gigs co-founder Ronnie Newmyer. Previous shows include; The Last Waltz Tribute, Laurel Canyon, The Beach Boys Pet Sounds & The Beatles Revolver , The Best of Janis Joplin & Jimi Hendrix, A Tribute to Little Feat, The Songs of Burt Bacharach & Hal David & many more.
