Gnit is a darkly comedic exploration of human folly, centered on Peter Gnit as he grapples with a lifetime of poor choices in pursuit of his ideal self. This adaptation by Will Eno presents a modern twist on Ibsen’s Peer Gynt and delves into themes of love, laziness, and existential struggle. Directed by Tim Carroll, the production encourages audiences to reflect on the consequences of their decisions and the pursuit of self-identity. Gnit will run from June 19 to October 4, 2025, at the Shaw Festival.
