Emily Haines & The Soft Skeleton Coming to Massey Hall This Winter

Massey Hall has announced "Live At Massey Hall: Emily Haines & The Soft Skeleton" on Tuesday, December 5 at 8:00 PM. Tickets are on sale today at 1:00 PM.

Haines is set to tour North America this fall as Emily Haines & The Soft Skeleton, performing limited engagements in unique, intimate, seated venues handpicked by Haines, herself.

Haines has also partnered with the Plus 1 organization to donate $1 from each ticket sold on the upcoming tour to the She Decides campaign. She Decides was launched to offset the negative consequences to young women around the world resulting from the $600 million in cuts to American foreign aid for family planning and reproductive health programs in developing countries.

Her new album, Choir of the Mind (out Sept 15), is the Metric singer's first release as her Soft Skeleton solo project in a decade. Haines' vocals are the focal point of Choir of the Mind, used to create spellbinding orchestrations for an effect that is subtle and ghostly. Haines is joined by her longtime musical partner/Metric bandmate, James Shaw.

Listen to the single "Fatal Gift" here.

Other upcoming Live At Massey Hall shows include:

October 14 The New Pornographers with special guests The Born Ruffians

October 24 Japandroids with Cloud Nothings

December 8 Whitehorse with special guest Terra Lightfoot

The critically-acclaimed concert and concert film series, Live at Massey Hall connects viewers with influential and captivating music-makers, performers, and artists through signature cinematic 30-minute concert films and high quality full-length audio recordings. The series also introduces new voices and original artists to not only Massey Hall's wide and growing audience base but to music fans around the world, documenting what is often considered a milestone moment in the careers of participating artists. Tickets for the Live at Massey Hall series start at the symbolic price of $18.94, a nod to the year the venue opened.
