The Orchestral Now begins its winter season in New York City with a return to Peter Norton Symphony Space in a free concert led by resident conductor Zachary Schwartzman. The program features upcoming young soloist Yangxin Song, a winner of the 2022 Bard Conservatory Concerto Competition, in Prokofiev's Violin Concerto No. 2, and includes Mendelssohn's Ruy Blas Overture and Sibelius' Symphony No. 1 (February 18).

Red Bull Theater and Art Lab Productions presented the first major New York presentation of Maltby & Shire’s new musical, The Country Wife on Monday December 11th at the Peter Norton Symphony Space. American Symphony Orchestra Goes 'Beyond Beethoven' at Carnegie Hall with Pianist Lucas Debargue

American Symphony Orchestra will pay tribute to the 250th anniversary of Beethoven's birth with a concert that investigates how his music inspired others on Friday January 31, 8 pm at Carnegie Hall. From Liszt's fantasia on the 'Turkish March' to Spohr's Beethovenesque scherzo and Reger's variations on a bagatelle theme by Beethoven, the program also celebrates the 100th anniversary of an often-overlooked 20th-century master, Galina Ustvolskaya. Her Piano Concerto is considered her first composition and demands the listener's ear with a pounding rhythmic motif that is repeated by the piano until the closing chord.

The ARK trio's concert 'Love Resounding' will present six world premieres of compositions written for them by American composers Kim D. Sherman (THE WEDDING SONG, THE LAODAMIAD: A MYTHIC JOURNEY, PRAIRIE DIARY) and Michael Ching (ARRANGEMENTS AND DERANGEMENTS: INTERPRETATIONS OF SCHUBERT); Russian-born composer Dina Pruzhansky (ON LOVE AND LAND) and Israeli composer/pianist Moshe Knoll (SIMPLICITY).
