Jay commenced the first complete recording of the original version of the musical with the original orchestrations by Philip J. Lang at Abbey Road Studios, London on October 5 1996 and completed it at Clinton Recording Studios, New York on October 19 1996. This will be the first time it is released to the public.

Hensley originated the role of Charlie when the play first opened in New York in 2012, where it subsequently won multiple awards including the Lucille Lortel Award for Best Play and Drama Desk Special Award for Significant Contribution to Theatre.

The family friendly production, based on the classic film, was announced as part of the theatre's 2017 Mainstage Season last year by producers. The musical will take flight at the area's only year-round producing theatre beginning April 7th.

Entr'Acte Theatrix and the Peter Halmos Foundation will mount an encore presentation of their well-received production of the award-winning musical play Peter and the Starcatcher from March 31st through April 9th. The show's original run, which was produced in association with Theatre of Collaborative Arts, was interrupted by the onset of Hurricane Matthew in October 2016. Peter and the Starcatcher will be the first production to open the brand-new Conrad N. Hilton Theatre at the Esther B. O'Keeffe Center for Creative Education in West Palm Beach.
