Ann Arbor's Penny Seats Theatre Company is set to begin rehearsals for its fourth summer residency at the West Park Band Shell. This year the group will present Sophocles' Elektra, translated by former University of Michigan professor Anne Carson and directed by Penny Seats co-founder Russ Schwartz. The Penny Seats encourage patrons to make an evening of coming to the show, which will perform Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings in July, starting today, July 10th.

"Venus in Fur" is the most produced script of the 2013 - 2014 season in America, according to Theatre Communications Group, and was credited by the New York Times as, "Ninety minutes of good, kinky fun." This production is generously sponsored by two decadent Ann Arbor hotspots, The Earle Restaurant and The Raven's Club.
