Today, m.a.d. Theatre of Tampa has announced the opening of The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told on Friday, June 6, 2014. The show runs through June 22, 2014 with performances on Friday & Saturday at 8:00pm & Sunday at 3:00pm. This satirical comedy by Paul Rudnick, author of I Hate Hamlet and Jeffrey, is raucously funny, surprisingly tender and ultimately wise as it dissects history, relationships, gay politics and the mystery of faith. Director Clareann Despain has gathered a diverse cast of actors to guide the audience through the lives of the two first couples, Adam & Steve and Jane & Mabel, as they experience life's joys and perils from the biblical world to the modern day.

America's Premiere Doo-Wop group is coming to FST's Court Cabaret as the first act in the Summer Cabaret Sidekicks Series. This dynamic a cappella group will perform their hit show, At The Hop, beginning June 10 and running through July 6. Subscriptions for all three shows can be purchased for as little as $39. Asolo Repertory Theatre's sizzling summer production of I LOVED, I LOST, I MADE SPAGHETTI opens tonight, May 21 at 8pm and will run through Sunday, June 15 in Asolo Rep's Cook Theatre. Starring Antoinette LaVecchia, who originated the role of Giulia at TheaterWorks in Connecticut in 2012, previews for the 2012 Broadwayworld.com winner for Best Original/New Work will be Sunday, May 18 at 8pm and Tuesday, May 20 at 7:30pm. The play will be directed by Rob Ruggiero (Asolo Rep's Show Boat). Asolo Rep's production transfers from a highly successful April 2014 run at George Street Playhouse in New Jersey where it received both critical and public acclaim.

This play captures the lives of a group of kids from a beloved comic strip who have now entered their teens and are dealing with the changes and struggles of that tumultuous time in life. The story centers around CB, whose beagle has just died from rabies, and explores his changing relationships with his friends and the issues of drug use, suicide, eating disorders, teen violence, rebellion and sexual identity.

FST and Brentwood Elementary Create A NIGHT IN THE MUSEUM

Florida Studio Theatre is working with all students in grades 3, 4, and 5 at Brentwood Elementary School for A Night in the Museum. Through a series of arts integration workshops, just under 700 students in grades 3, 4, and 5 have been busy rehearsing for their debut performance on May 6 at the school, which will feature an array of music, dance, spoken word, and short plays while incorporating the school's social studies curriculum.
