Bay Street Players' Second Stage Series presents the award winning holiday show Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol for three performances; Nov.25, Dec. 2 & 9 at 7:30 pm. Directed by Joel Warren, Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol is a funny and moving work that brings the ghost of Jacob Marley out of The Shadows and into the spotlight to tell his version of the Dickens classic.

Written by award-winning playwright, actor and director, Tom Mula, this fanciful tour of Marley's afterlife has been called "nothing less than an anthem to human nature…a splendid and invigorating evening."---Chicago Tribune. Marley, who is condemned to a hellish eternity, is given one chance to free himself. He must redeem Scrooge. So begins a journey of laughter, redemption and renewal. "…Inspired writing…funny, moving and hypnotic throughout…" Chicago Sun-Times.

Mula published his novel Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol in 1995 and it quickly became a Chicago Tribune bestseller. The audio version has been broadcast nationwide on National Public Radio for several seasons and received an INDI Award for Spoken Word from the Association for Independent Music. The stage version received the prestigious Cunningham Prize for Playwriting.

Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol is sponsored in part by Samuel Bundz, MD, FACS. It has moments on intense drama and is suitable for adults and teens.
