Northrop Dance and Walker Art Center present Political Mother choreographed by Hofesh Shechter, and performed by Hofesh Shechter Company. This tour de force from Britain's fieriest choreographer, Israeli-born Hofesh Shechter, Political Mother has garnered glowing praise worldwide for its emotional tension, gritty complexity, and explosive collision of politics and movement. A relentlessly physical version of traditional folk dance features 10 dancers unleashing a rapid-fire chain of surreal images set to an explosive score performed by a blistering eight-piece live band. Warning: it might get loud.
