Ailey II at Touhill Performing Arts Center

Dance St. Louis continues its landmark 60th anniversary season by presenting the legendary Ailey II for two nights at the Touhill Performing Arts Center. Each night ncludes a special live music pre-show featuring Chuck Berry's son and grandsons of What the Chuck! Tribute Band. Direct from New York City, Ailey II, one of the most popular dance companies in the country, performs three bold works each night:

• The St. Louis premiere of Chalvar Monteiro's BERRY DREAMIN', a new work commissioned by Dance St. Louis for our 60th anniversary season and in celebration of the music, life and impact of the “Father of Rock and Roll” Chuck Berry and his centennial.
• Houston Thomas' DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE, which is inspired by The Matrix film series and set to a score by Johannes Goldbach.
• Alvin Ailey's iconic masterpiece REVELATIONS. Performed to African American spirituals, song-sermons, gospel songs, and holy blues, the cultural treasure explores the places of deepest grief and holiest joy in the soul.
