Calling Us Home, the musical that raised the roof and brought audiences to their feet in Johannesburg in 2017, finally comes to Cape Town!
Join Grace, as she flees a brutal war and travels across the sea, to seek safety in a new home. In the concrete jungle of a great city under an unfamiliar sky, she starts a new life amongst others, who like her, have had to leave their homeland behind to survive.
Here she meets the beautiful and passionate singer Isabella, who dreams of becoming a star, the exuberant and courageous Lindiwe and the dangerous ganglord Ivan. Here too she finds a love “so strong that it tears the night sky apart”… but will love triumph?
This all South African Musical with its large ensemble cast will bewitch you with its spectacular music and move you to feel joy, heartbreak, and compassion as it celebrates love, the triumph of hope and the invincible strength of the human spirit in the face of adversity.
