Santa Fe Playhouse (SFP) shares first look photos inside the first rehearsals for the New Mexico premiere of the Pulitzer Prize finalist groundbreaking play What the Constitution Means to Me, by Heidi Schreck, directed by Lynn Goodwin, with Kate Udall (SFP’s Sweat; Netflix’s Daredevil) taking on the role of Heidi.

Center Repertory Company is presenting The Legend of Georgia McBride, written by Tony and Olivier Award winner Matthew López (The Inheritance, The Whipping Man, Somewhere, the book of the Broadway musical Some Like it Hot, and Amazon Studios’ Red, White & Royal Blue). This September, the curtains will rise for an immersive spectacle that fuses theatre, sport and technology with the launch of Rumble in the Jungle Rematch. All The Natalie Portmans is a fantastical new coming-of-age comedy written by C.A. Johnson (MCC debut) and directed by Kate Whoriskey (Sweat, Ruined). Capital Stage launches its 15th Anniversary Season with the critically acclaimed and multiple award winning play Between Riverside And Crazy by Stephen Adly Guirgis. Judith Moreland, director of An Octoroon , returns to direct local favorite James Wheatley as “Pops” in his Capital Stage main stage debut. The Sacramento Premiere of Between Riverside And Crazy will preview Aug. 28th, 29th, and 30th. A Press Opening will be on Sat. Aug. 31st at 8:00 pm. Performances will run through Sep. 29th. The Donmar Warehouse's sold-out production of the Pulitzer Prize-winning Sweat by Lynn Nottage will transfer to London's Gielgud Theatre for a limited 6 week run from Friday 7 June 2019.

'The Only Constant' is a very interesting, provocative dance piece. It is a 55-minute piece, and the stamina needed to perform this work is exceptional. The dancers are uniformly strong and have a full understanding of the intent. This has been in development for a few years and is the work of Genevieve Carson, whose work is known for addressing the human condition. In this piece, she deals with how we affect and interact with one another, one thing leads to another and the fine line between composure and chaos. The style is Reactive; choreography and story line wise. The movement dictated the story line and the emotions felt were as a reaction to that movement. A part of 'Dance At The Odyssey 2019,' produced by Barbara Mueller-Wittman and Beth Hogan, it is a part of celebrating contemporary dance works created by Los Angeles Artists.

Philadelphia Theatre Company presents the Philadelphia premiere of Marsha Norman and Jason Robert Brown's sweeping musical version of the best-selling novel, The Bridges of Madison County. The production is the second of the inaugural season under Producing Artistic Director Paige Price. For Bridges, Price has tapped Mark Martino to direct a cast rich with local theatre stars and Barrymore Award-winners, alongside actors with notable national and Broadway credits. The cast is led by Philadelphia actress Sarah Gliko and PA Native and Broadway actor Gregg Goodbrod. Recent Barrymore Award winner Amanda Morton (Passing Strange, Wilma Theater) will serve as the Music Director. The Bridges of Madison County runs February 8-March 3, 2019 at Philadelphia Theatre Company's stage at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre, 480 S. Broad Street. Black Box Studios is proud to announce the 2nd Main Stage show of the 2018-2019 season, a new production of Spring Awakening, will be adding an additional four shows!  With book and lyrics by Steven Sater and music by Duncan Sheik, Spring Awakening is a rock musical adaption of the seminal play Spring's Awakening by Frank Wedekind and stars NBC's The VoiceFinalist Stephan Marcellus.
