Broadway and Vine, intersecting the best of Broadway with the best of Wine Country opened its second season with Lea Michele (GLEE, Spring Awakening). 

Building upon the creative and cultural integrity of The Old Red Lion, newly appointed Artistic Director Alexander Knott presents a thought-provoking triptych, spearheaded by the first revival of Nuclear War from the multi-award-winning Simon Stephens (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time adaptation, Sea Wall, and Heisenberg).

As 2019 comes to a close, we're taking a look back on some of the most memorable performances of the year.

2019 brought us a slew of new shows on Broadway and beyond. From fan favorites like Be More Chill, and Beetlejuice, smash hits like Moulin Rouge! and Hadestown, to plays such as Slave Play, Betrayal, and The Rose Tattoo, this year had something for all theatre fans to enjoy.

As we say goodbye to this year, we're flashing back to the opening nights of the shows of 2019. Take a look back at the casts taking their opening bows!

Yesterday when the front of house for SEA WALL / A LIFE went up at the Hudson Theatre, the play's stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Tom Sturridge dropped by to check out their brand-new marquee!

Blank Canvas has a niche audience. They love slasher, off-the-wall, ridiculous plotted plays, especially musicals.

As previously announced, Sea Wall / A Life, which recently played to sold-out audiences at The Public Theater, will open on Broadway this summer.  Written by Simon Stephens and Nick Payne respectively, directed by Carrie Cracknell, and starring Academy Award nominee Jake Gyllenhaal, who received a Drama League Award nomination for his performance in the show at The Public Theater, and Tony Award nominee Tom Sturridge who received a Lucille Lortel Award nomination for his performance in the show at The Public Theater, Sea Wall / A Life will begin performances on Friday, July 26 at Hudson Theatre (141 West 44th Street), with the opening night set for Thursday, August 8.

Australian Director Gary Young has reinterpreted MAMMA MIA! for Australian audiences, delivering a fresh new take on the work, 19 years after it debuted on the West End.

The current production of DINNER WITH FRIENDS, directed by Mark Piatelli at Little Fish Theatre in San Pedro, has the audience up close and personal to the cast, so much so you may feel like a fly on the wall witnessing conversations not meant to be heard by strangers. In fact, Margulies' overall "slice of life" writing will no doubt pull you in, whether or not you have been through a marriage break-up or have known friends who have gone through the process with you as their shoulder to cry on. Ultimately, the value of true friendship can prove to be even more important than family.

Michael Grandage Company and Emily Dobbs Productions will stage the UK premiere of Richard Greenberg's THE DAZZLE at FOUND111, at the site of the old Central St Martins School of Art on Charing Cross Road. Check out a first look at rehearsals below!

Vital Theatre Company has announced the return of past Vital favorite A (Tooth) Fairy Tale, opening March 16, 2013 at the McGinn/Cazale Theatre at 2162 Broadway at W 76th St. The show features book by author Ben Winters (Uncle Pirate [musical]; The Last Policeman; Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters [novels]), music and lyrics by Rick Hip-Flores (My New York), and direction by Linda Ames Key. Last night, June 29, Cirque du Soleil opened its major new acrobatic spectacle, Zarkana, at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. Performances began Thursday, June 9, 2011 for a limited engagement through October 8, 2011. Presented by iShares, Zarkana is written and directed by acclaimed film and theatre director François Girard (The Red Violin, Silk). The Great Game: Afghanistan - a festival exploring Afghan culture and history through twelve plays, a five day film programme, a ceramic exhibition and discussion sessions returns to the Tricycle Theatre for a limited run from 23 July until 29 August 2010 with a press day on 31 July.

Atlantic Theater Company (Neil Pepe, Artistic Director; Jeffory Lawson, Managing Director) will present the New York and world premieres of a double bill of one-act plays from Atlantic's founder. TWO UNRELATED PLAYS BY David Mamet: KEEP YOUR PANTHEON AND SCHOOL, directed by Neil Pepe, will feature the ensemble cast of Jeffrey Addiss, Michael Cassidy, Steven Hawley, J.J. Johnston, Jordan Lage, Brian Murray, Rod McLachlan, John Pankow, Jonathan Rossetti, Jack Wallaceand Todd Weeks.

Disney Theatrical Productions presents Drew Seeley, star of 'Another Cinderella Story,' as Prince Eric in THE LITTLE MERMAID. Seeley made his Broadway debut in the production last night, Tuesday, June 9th. He will appear though Sunday, August 30th at the Lunt-Fontanne Theater (205 West 46th Street).
